Summer Is Upon Us … Get Your Tummy Tuck 4-1-1
Is your pooch preventing you from donning that favorite bikini? Have years of weight fluctuations turned your once-taut tummy into something slightly less sleek? If you’re struggling to get the flat tummy you want with traditional diet and exercise, we can help. Ask us about your tummy tuck options today.
I’m Eating Right and Exercising. Why Isn’t My Stomach Flat?
You’re doing all the right things with your diet and exercise routine, but that stubborn belly pooch remains. What patients don’t realize is that paunchy tummies aren’t always able to be fixed with diet and exercise alone. Healthy eating and hitting the gym can’t remove excess skin and stretch marks. Separated abdominal muscles aren’t going to be fixed by a few crunches. Sometimes you need a little extra help to restore a flat stomach, especially after pregnancy or massive weight loss.
A tummy tuck—also known as abdominoplasty—targets loose skin, excess fat, and separated abdominal muscles to restore a flat, tight appearance to the mid-section. Dr. Reid and Dr. Gordon understand that every body is different. They custom-tailor each tummy tuck to address unique needs and concerns. If diet and exercise aren’t changing your middle, you may need a tummy tuck.
Your Tummy Tuck Options
When it comes to tummy tucks, you’ve got options. We offer a mini-tummy tuck, a traditional tummy tuck, and our revolutionary Tummy Tuck 360. For patients with excess abdominal fat only (not excess skin) we also offer SAFELipo. Learn about your options today or schedule a tummy tuck consultation for personalized advice.
- SAFELipo– The abdominal area is a hotspot for unwanted fat. If you have excess fat across your midsection but your skin is still tight, you may not need a tummy tuck. SAFELipo can be performed to remove this excess fat and restore a flat appearance to your tummy.
- Mini-Tummy Tuck– If you have some excess skin and fat below the belly button (but not a lot), we may use a mini-tummy tuck to reshape the area. This procedure uses a smaller incision than a traditional tummy tuck and does not tighten the abdominal muscles. A mini-tummy tuck is typically only an option if you have few stretch marks and it generally doesn’t work well after pregnancy. A mini-tummy tuck is often combined with SAFELipo to remove excess fat in the area.
- Tummy Tuck– A tummy tuck removes excess skin and fat in the abdominal area and tightens stretched-out and separated abdominal muscles. We can also use a tummy tuck to remove many of your stretch marks (all those located below the belly button).
- Tummy Tuck 360– Look as good from the back as you do from the front. A traditional tummy tuck only focuses on improving the abdominal area, but the backside often needs a little help, too. Our Tummy Tuck 360 is like shrink wrap for your mid-section, slimming your body front to back. This procedure combines a tummy tuck with SAFELipo for a complete transformation.
